Important Update Regarding Test Schedule

Due to the very busy week you might be

having, we have decided to postpone the

vocabulary and math test until next week.  If

your science project is done, continue to

study these two subjects, as the tests will

take place next week.  Be sure to check over

the science fair packet and verify that you

have all of the information you need before

turning in the final project this Thursday.  As

always, I am available for any questions you

may have.

Happy New Year!

Welcome back to school!  I pray that

everyone had a wonderful relaxing Christmas

break.  We are officially in the 3rd quarter of

school.  Can you believe it?  As always, there

is plenty going on around here.  Please read

the following reminders....

1. Mrs. Morris, our computer teacher, will be

helping the students create the graphs

needed to display their science fair

information.  Students are encouraged to

bring in their data this Friday so that Mrs.

Morris can help them create the graph.  If

you prefer to complete the graph at home,

students will be given an assignment from

Mrs. Morris to complete during class.

2.  Sign-ups for Conference Day are available

now and are located in the clinic area.  If

you are unable to meet on conference day

(Friday, January 27th), I would be more than

happy to meet with you before or after

school the week of January 16th or January

23rd.  Please email me at your earliest

convenience.

3.  The awards chapel for 2nd quarter will

take place on Friday, January 20th at 2:00

(10 minutes earlier than last time).  Awards

will be given for all As, all As and Bs,

Christian Character, and Most Improved.

4.  The Bible study habit sheet for 3rd

quarter will be due on February 16th.

Also, I am doing my best to encourage  my

students of the importance of diligence

during this 2nd semester.  I am still finding

myself giving back papers for questions that

were not answered and  papers with no

names on them.  My goal the second half of

fourth grade is to help each student be as

independent as possible and prepared for 5th

grade.

As always, thank you for co-laboring with

me!  It seems as if this school year is flying

by!  I will post some pictures from St.

Augustine as soon as get onto Shutterfly and

copy some of Mrs. Boynton's incredible shots.
