Just for Fun!

Mrs. Sumner has become addicted to Pinterest!  Look at this awesome activity we did today.
First we filled up a bin with shaving cream.

Then we smoothed it out.

Next, we added acrylic paint.  Josh chose blue.

Lucie chose pink.

Once we had all of our favorite colors...

We each took turns swirling it around with our pointers.

Then, we added our seahorses.

After that, Joshua's daddy saved the day by bringing us a squeegee to wipe all of the extra paint and shaving cream off.  Thank you, Mr. Davis! You will get to see the finished products on Back to School Night!

On the Move!

It's getting harder and harder to squeeze the pictures in, but I know that everyone wants to see bits and pieces of our day, so I promise that I will do my best!  We are getting our very tight schedule down, and I am amazed at how much learning is already taking place.  One of our best "stress relievers" is to go over to the King's Kids room for about 15 minutes and shake the wiggles out.  Here are some of our favorite things to do.
Zack is king of the hill while playing catch with Shawn.

Lucie smiles for Mrs. Sumner with her amazing criss cross applesauce pose.

Miss Ragone and Josh go for a swing.

Shawn plays catch (so fast that Mrs. Sumner cannot get a picture that isn't blurry! )
We are so blessed to be at CCA.  There are so many exciting places to visit each day.  We need to remember to thank Jesus everyday for His gift!

1st Week Under our Belt!

We made it through the first week of school!  Today we had some extra-special activities.
Starting off the day with Miss Ragone leading a brain gym

Tricky moves!

Ending the time with prayer

Math with Miss Ragone

Reading and visualizing and verbalizing with Mrs. Sumner

Ship to shore with our favorite coaches-Joshua was the shark!

Hit the Deck!

Shawn is the lookout...

We also went to our first chapel together (but Mrs. Sumner forgot to take pictures until it was over).  I will get some next time.
God has been so good to us this week. He has put us all together and we cannot even imagine getting to spend our days with a more precious group of kids.
Next week we will be getting down to business as our schedule will be confirmed and hopefully our art and computer tables come in.
Enjoy the weekend and we can't wait to see you all again on Monday!
